Continental Trackman XP rubber track has been awarded the German Innovation Award for its innovation and user benefits by the German Design Council, an independent, interdisciplinary panel of engineers and designers.

“This is indeed an honor for our U.S.-based research, development and manufacturing team,” said Rob Schultz, Continental’s global product manager for rubber track. “This achievement recognizes the true global reach of Continental’s long history of superior engineering, innovation and setting the standards in the industries in which we compete.”

Trackman XP with Armorlug technology was recognized for its technical quality and function that features numerous patented industry firsts including durability that extends the life of the track up to 23 percent more than the industry norm. Another first, is its wire-ply construction featuring 50 percent more wire per inch. Additionally, Trackman XP incorporates patented galvanized steel cables to prevent corrosion and premature weakness.

One other feature which was particularly noticeable to the German Design Council was Trackman XP’s exclusive Anti-Vibration Technology, and advanced tread design that greatly reduces vibration by as much as 70 percent versus standard track. This characteristic dramatically improves the operator’s comfort especially in heavy-pull operations.

Trackman XP is the original equipment choice on the Case IH Quadtrac.

In total, technology company Continental, has been awarded eight times for its product innovations: In addition to the Trackman XP, four awards for innovative surface materials and three more awards for the automotive interior solutions 3D Touch Surface Display; two-finger gestures and Intelligent Glass Control were recognized by the panel.
